Marly & Mohair Luxury Verdure Velvet Pillow Cover - Forest Greens

There are two options to choose from when ordering. The beautiful cut and uncut velvet verdure fabric is on the front and the reverse side is made from plush teal mohair, as well as an option for two-sided with the same gorgeous Marly fabric on both side.  With this large repeat no two pillows are alike and they are all beautiful!

Marly is a linen velvet, woven in four chains on complex looms featuring a lush, all-over foliage design. The light relief effect is created by the different methods of treating the velvet, cut and uncut. The fabric is particularly suitable for upholstery. This velvet is inspired by the tapestries “verdure” of the period and named after Louis XIV’s preferred castle located near Paris. The landscape architect for Château de Marly had created paths through the woods lined by trellis’ in order to contain the exuberance of the robust trees that filled the grounds. Pulling inspiration from these wonderful woods and tapestries of the time, Colony created the beloved Marly design.
